Thank you to everyone who sowed into our Rescue1 Christmas outreach! It was a great success! Below are just a few pictures of some of the children. And we have a personal letter from our India staff member, Joshua. He oversees the Rescue1 homes in India.

LETTER FROM JOSHUA, our India Coordinator
Greetings to everyone. Hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. Here in India we celebrated Christmas in all our homes and really had a blessed time. The kids enjoyed the time decorating the Christmas tree. Before Christmas we had a day for cleaning and all the kids together made all our homes clean and neat. We had a wonderful Christmas because of your sacrificial giving towards the needs of children homes and the ministry in India.
THE CHILDREN CHOSE THEIR OWN GIFTS
We were able to bring all the kids shopping and let them buy their choice of new outfits, shoes and Christmas gifts individually this year. For some kids our girls have customized the dresses and tailored them because most of Indian traditional wear needs to be tailored. Our girls who have expertise in tailoring have helped us stitch some clothes for the children who wanted to wear traditional dresses.
We were also able to provide a tasty special meal that’s cooked for the kids and they really enjoyed it. This year the older girls made some dishes that they have learned to cook in the last few months and have prepared a lot of delicacies and deserts. The kids really enjoyed them.
THE CHILDREN SHARED WITH OTHERS
This year we also took out some food that was cooked by our girls and distributed to the people who are in need on the streets and we taught the kids about the joy of sharing and giving and the true purpose of Christmas. Then we had a lot of games and fun competitions for the kids along with the church kids and it was lot of fun. We presented them with good gifts who won in the games and the game time was a lot of fun and the kids had a blast.
This is the coldest winter that we ever had in India. Temperatures have dropped down drastically [not like in America] but still 38-39 degrees is too low for India. We were also able to buy some winter wear for the kids.
Now is also a holiday time in India. In India we celebrate Harvest Festival during this time of the year from Jan 10th to the 20th. So all the schools are on holidays. So the kids are having a lot of fun.
EXCELLING IN EDUCATION
All the kids are excelling in their education and their skill development training programs. Starting from February until April the kids will be preparing for their final exams for the academic year. So they will be very busy with their academic works in the next couple of months. And during summer holidays we are planning to take the the kids out for a beach tour. The kids wanted to have a day of fun at the beach.
All the children are in good health and they are growing in the word and prayer. Once again I would like to thank you all for the wonderful support you have given to the kids and ministry in India all these years. Without your support this would not be possible. We are so blessed to know each and every one of you and that you are being a part of this work. All the kids are so thankful to you and the pastors and leaders and all our ministry partners. We would like to thank each and every one individually for your support. God bless you all.
